Vitacress is passionate about the environment. With a clear commitment to become net zero carbon, and our aptly named Second Nature framework to support us, we’re making great progress. To read more about this and find out what we plan to do next, read our published ‘Story so far’.

Over the years, Vitacress has worked hard to build a vertically integrated supply chain that gives us greater control over sustainability from farm to fork. We also consistently incorporate environmental considerations into our strategic and operational decisions, and this has made us more resilient, competitive and prepared for change.

Group Environment Manager, Leah Mathias-Collins comments: “Second Nature is split across six priority areas; emissions, water, plastics, waste, sustainable growing and biodiversity. In the face of global climate change, we know it’s important to set clear targets and by working together, we will ensure we achieve our objective”.

An example of what we’ve achieved so far – 27.5% UK soil emissions reduction since 2021; 100% renewable electricity for our UK sites; 112 tonnes of plastic removed from packaging.

Our purpose is to be a trusted partner in every aspect of our business, and we are proud that our environmental commitments are Second Nature to us all at Vitacress.
